Revive Speech and Language Therapy

Empowering Lives Through Communication and Swallowing

Hi, I'm Charlotte

At Revive Speech and Language Therapy, I am dedicated to helping individuals enhance their speech, language, cognition, eating and drinking.

I develop individualised therapy plans that empower clients to achieve their communication and dysphagia (swallowing) goals.

We will help you to speak your strength.

About Me

I believe in nurturing voices and building confidence through evidence-based practices and compassionate care.

Past Work

I have worked in the NHS in an acute hospital setting, a rehabilitation hospital and community services with adults with acquired neurological conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury and dementia.

I have then worked at an independent speech and language therapy company where I lead the adult therapy services.

Specialisms

I now specialise in working in neurological rehabilitation. I work with adults with brain injuries, stroke and catastrophic injury and polytrauma in the community.

I also specialise in working with neurodiverse adults and adults with learning disabilities.

I regularly attend Clinical Excellence Network events and conferences to enhance my skills.

Who do I Work With?

My caseload mainly consists of clients with complex profiles and often have multiple diagnoses.

I work with adults with non-verbal communication skills to help them be heard in a range of environments and settings.

I also work with adults to help them reintegrate back into their life following brain injuries with aphasia and cognitive communication disorder.

Goals

I strive to find therapies and interventions that work for every individual to help them meet their goals which requires experience, evidence-based knowledge and the ability to think outside the box.

At Revive, we consider how to make goals:

Client-Centred: Goals are shaped around the client’s lived experience, values, and aspirations.

Contextualised: They reflect real life environments and everyday activities, such as reading at the dining table or chatting with grandchildren.

Emotionally Meaningful: A goal should be meaningful and motivating for the individual.
